Management Profiles
Larry Bloomquist, P.E. - CEO
Larry Bloomquist served as President/CEO of Mechanical Reps, Inc. (MRI) from September of 2000 to January 11, 2010, when Ken Graham
was promoted to President, Larry maintains his role as Chief Executive Officer. Larry received his BS in Mechanical
Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1979. After graduation, Larry became a partner with his dad, Ed Bloomquist, in the
consulting firm Ed started, Bloomquist & Associates. For seven years, Larry worked as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing designer
and engineer. He received his Professional Engineers license in 1984. Larry joined Mechanical Reps, Inc. in August of 1987, as an
equipment salesman. In 1996, Larry and his partner Mike Davidson purchased MRI from the founding brothers, Dick and Joe Lowke. Larry
has been an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) since college
and served as the Austin Chapter president in 1984-85. Larry has also been involved with many Texas A&M University organizations,
including serving as the president of the Capital City A&M Club in 1985, a member of the Executive Committee of the Association
of Former Students, the Chancellor's Century Council and served as President of the 12th Man Foundation in 1997. Larry is an elder at
Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. His wife, Amy is a self-employed, board-certified estate planning attorney. They have two
children, Randall and Rachel.
Ken Graham, P.E. - President
Ken Graham, P.E., President of Mechanical Reps, Inc. on January 11, 2010. Ken joined MRI in 1998 and served as Vice-President and
San Antonio Branch Manager since that date. Ken is a Registered Professional Engineer and has a Contracting License for commercial work.
He earned a BS degree from Texas A&M University in 1977. After graduation, Ken worked for the Houston Trane Company as Sales Engineer
in commercial division for 4 years. Following that employment, Ken worked for three years as project manager and estimator for Adams Mechanical
Contracting. Adams Mechanical specialized in commercial design/build and plan and specification projects. In 1984 Ken moved to San Antonio
and joined Grant Technical Services, as a sales engineer for their HVAC manufacturer’s representative firm. Ken became a partner of Enviro-Tex
(formally Grant Technical Services) for 14 years. Ken has served as past president of the San Antonio ASHRAE Chapter. Ken and his wife Mary
have two children, Chris and Kimberly.
Mike Davidson - Vice-President
Mike Davidson, Vice-President of Mechanical Reps, Inc., grew up in Dayton, Ohio. In 1977, Mike moved to Houston, Texas, and worked for
a local HVAC rep firm. In 1983, Mike was transferred to Austin and became the branch manager for a firm based out of Houston. In January
of 1986, Mike joined Mechanical Reps, Inc. as a contractor salesman. In 1996, Mike and Larry Bloomquist purchased Mechanical Reps, Inc.
from Dick and Joe Lowke. Mike has been very active in the local ASHRAE Chapter and served on many committees. Mike was President of the
local ASHRAE Chapter in 1994. Mike enjoys all types of sports, including golf. Mike and his wife Lynn have two daughters, Elizabeth and
Kimberly.
Lauren Beverly - Vice-President
Lauren Beverly, Vice-President, joined Mechanical Reps, Inc. in 1994 as sales assistant in the Customer Service Department; however Lauren
had previously gained experience at MRI through a summer intern program while in high school and college. In 2000, Lauren was promoted to
oversee the MRI accounting and human resources department. Lauren received her Business Management degree from Texas Tech University in
1993. Lauren and her husband Richard have two sons, Reed and Chase.
